Vacation from what? you might ask. And well you should because, in reality, there is no vacation for housewives. I can't just opt to not cook, clean, and look after the children on any given day now, can I? No indeed. But to create the illusion of a vacation, there is one thing the lazy housewife can do: she can change her costume. Yes, instead of the pearls and pumps I usually don while performing my daily duties, during vacation I wear my pajamas for a significant portion of the day. The last three days I've stayed in them until past noon. It creates the illusion of a holiday, which is the best I can manage.
On Monday Sahsez returns to school and then it will be back to the unbearable suffering of picking her up and dropping her off at school. I'll have to get dressed. Ugh.
